It depends on the size, location and design of your project. Many patios, decks and pergolas qualify as Exempt Development or under a CDC pathway. We assess every project up-front and handle the entire approval process for you.
A CDC (Complying Development Certificate) is a faster, private-certifier approval pathway suitable for projects that meet pre-set standards. A DA (Development Application) is required for larger or more complex projects and is assessed by council.
Most patios and decks are completed in 1–3 weeks on site once approvals and materials are confirmed. Larger outdoor living projects take 4–8 weeks.
