Can I really install a kit pergola myself?
If you're comfortable with basic carpentry tools, a level and a drill — yes. Most kits assemble with two people over a weekend. We provide step-by-step instructions and phone support. For larger or attached pergolas we recommend professional install.
Do I still need council approval for a DIY kit?
The approval requirement is based on the structure's size, height and location — not who builds it. We can supply engineering certificates and help you work out whether yours qualifies as Exempt, CDC or DA.
What's included in the kit?
All structural members cut to size, brackets, fixings, roofing panels (if applicable), gutter and downpipe, and assembly instructions. Concrete for footings is sourced locally. We'll confirm the full inclusions list on your quote.
What if I get stuck during install?
Call us — we're happy to talk through tricky steps over the phone. If you'd rather hand it over, we can send a crew to finish or take over the install at any point.
