Privacy Screening — FAQs
How private is a slat screen?
It depends on slat size and gap. Tight 65mm slats with a 10mm gap give near-total privacy from normal viewing angles while still letting light and air through. We adjust the spec to your sightlines and exposure.
Will the powder-coat finish hold up in coastal weather?
Yes — we use marine-grade aluminium frames and a coastal-rated powder-coat system on all jobs within reach of salt air. Backed by manufacturer warranty against fading and corrosion.
Do I need council approval for a privacy screen?
Most low- to mid-height screens within property boundaries are exempt. Tall boundary screens, screens on fences over a certain height, or screens that affect overlooking may need approval. We check before quoting.
Can you match the look of my existing fence or patio?
Yes — we colour-match to existing COLORBOND® and powder-coat finishes, and design slat or pattern profiles that tie into the rest of your outdoor space.
